Soccer Game Preview: Copperas Cove vs. Bryan

The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs will face off against the Bryan Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Copperas Cove will be strutting in after a victory while Bryan will be coming in after a loss.

Copperas Cove is headed into the game having not lost since the third and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Killeen onto the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday. While the Bulldawgs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-18-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ayo Shoroye and Kevin Antero-Torres scored both of Copperas Cove's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Bryan was not quite Madisonville's equal in the second half two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Copperas Cove, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1.
