Baseball Recap: Pisgah Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pisgah had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Section Lions by a score of 9-5 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Brooks Garrett, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Luke Gilbert was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Pisgah's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-10. As for Section, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Coming up, Pisgah will welcome Ider at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Section, they will venture away from home to challenge Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
