Indiana high school football toughest strength of schedule

North Central at 1-9 has toughest Indiana football schedule, while 9-1 Warren Central has fifth toughest.

North Central (Indianapolis) is the No. 4-largest high school in Indiana with an enrollment of 3,520 and it also has played the state's strongest schedule, according to MaxPreps' computer rankings.

The Panthers have a 49.9 ranking, having played the state's Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 12 and 17 ranked teams. Unfortunately, they have lost to all of them. Their only victory during a 1-9 campaign was a 42-35 upset of No. 81-ranked Pike (Indianapolis).

When it comes to strength of schedule, it all belongs to Indianapolis, the state's capital and largest city. Six of the top 10 are Indianapolis-based schools and the other four all could be considered suburbs. Four of the teams have losing records, including the top three. No. 3 Pike (Indianapolis) lost all 10 of its games.

Warren Central (Indianapolis), No. 1 in the team rankings with a 9-1 record, has played the state's No. 5 strongest schedule.
