Baseball Recap: Clinton Victorious

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Clinton nor Pearl made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Arrows' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pirates a 5-0 shutout. The Arrows haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

David Steelman was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Barron, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will face off against Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl, they will square off against Terry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
