Volleyball Recap: Melissa's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Melissa can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Eastern Hills Highlanders by a score of 2-0.

Melissa's offense was headlined by Kennedy Scott and Kassie Van Pottelsberghe, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Presley Williford and her eight assists. Van Pottelsberghe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Melissa back to even at 7-7. As for Eastern Hills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Melissa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Midland Christian on the 23rd. As for Eastern Hills, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Crowley on the 23rd.
