Football Recap: Bremerton Skates Past Bainbridge with Ease

After losing to Bainbridge the last time they met, Bremerton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights claimed a resounding 41-14 win over the Spartans.

Bremerton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenneth Najera led the charge by rushing for 106 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Najera didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defended two passes. Tremain Abuan was in the mix too, providing Bremerton with two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bremerton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Bremerton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kaiden Sorensen, Marquise Allen, and Tyberious Allen picked up one apiece. Marquise got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bremerton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bainbridge, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Bremerton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 36-29 loss against Kelso on the 26th. As for Bainbridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 39-13 defeat against Olympic on the 26th.
