Basketball Recap: Atkinson County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Echols County last Monday, Atkinson County came back down to earth. The Atkinson County Rebels fell 57-47 to the Turner County Titans on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-38 on January 10th.

Atkinson County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Turner County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atkinson County has already played their next contest (against Irwin County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Turner County will challenge Lanier County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
