Mitchell is 3-0 against Cypress Creek since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mitchell Mustangs will host the Cypress Creek Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mitchell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Palm Harbor University, who was ranked 13th at the time (Mitchell was ranked eighth). Mitchell fell just short of Palm Harbor University by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Lakewood Ranch, falling 4-0.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mitchell fell to 10-1-2. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Mitchell came out on top in a nail-biter against Cypress Creek in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Does Mitchell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cypress Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
