Bear River posted their closest win since December 28, 2024 on Monday. They skirted past the Mira Loma Matadors 67-64. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Matadors back in January, they had to take a 53-50 loss.

Dylan Donley was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 15 to rack up 20 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Kyle Smith, who posted 13 points.

The victory got Bear River back to even at 12-12. As for Mira Loma, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Bear River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-58 win against Lincoln on the 5th. As for Mira Loma, they have also already played their next contest, a 70-47 victory against Wheatland on the 5th.
