Football Game Preview: Braymer Bobcats vs. Schuyler County Rams

Braymer is a perfect 3-0 against Schuyler County since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Braymer put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 50-8 victory over Keytesville. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Schuyler County lost 66-46 to Greenfield last Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in September (40), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Schuyler County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gage Pauley threw for 239 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 90 yards and one score. Mason Oliver was another key player, picking up 110 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Schuyler County dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 30.0 points this season. As for Braymer, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Braymer against Schuyler County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-34 win. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
