Layne Warrior leads a balanced attack to beat Tri County Northeast

Recap: Bloomfield Bees vs. Tri County Northeast Wolfpack

The Bloomfield Bees had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Tri County Northeast by a score of 52-44 on Friday. The victory was just what Bloomfield needed coming off of a 64-44 defeat in their prior game.

Bloomfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Layne Warrior led the charge by scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Mackeprang, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Tri County Northeast lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ben Jorgensen, who scored 12 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Dickens, who scored eight points along with three steals.

The victory got Bloomfield back to even at 1-1. As for Tri County Northeast, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.

Bloomfield will head out on the road to face off against Stuart at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Stuart is ranked 62nd, while Bloomfield is ranked 65th). As for Tri County Northeast, they will be playing at home against Siouxland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
