Preview: Seton Catholic Central Saints vs. Owego Free Academy River Hawks
Seton Catholic Central is 8-2 against Owego Free Academy since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Seton Catholic Central Saints will be home for the holidays to greet the Owego Free Academy River Hawks at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Seton Catholic Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Seton Catholic Central had to settle for a 52-50 loss against Waverly.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Allan Eagles, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Johnny Hopf, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Owego Free Academy waltzed into their game Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Oneonta.
Seton Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Owego Free Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Seton Catholic Central didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Owego Free Academy when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win. Will Seton Catholic Central repeat their success, or does Owego Free Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
