Volleyball Recap: Spanish Springs Takes Down Ranked Carson

Spanish Springs faced Carson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the Senators by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Spanish Springs walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-6, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Spanish Springs can attribute much of their success to Gianna Antle, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Antle has posted over her last four games.

Spanish Springs' win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Carson, they moved to 12-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Spanish Springs has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against North Valleys on the 4th. After both having extra time off, Carson and Damonte Ranch will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th. The contest will give the Senators their first taste of in-conference action this season.
