Softball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the DePaul College Prep Rams, falling 12-1. The Blazers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Trinity saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaida Escanio, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for DePaul College Prep, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-8.

Coming up, Trinity will head out to square off against Westmont at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sentinels have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for DePaul College Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against St. Francis at 10:00 p.m.
