Baseball Recap: Park Place Christian Academy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Park Place Christian Academy's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Manchester Academy Mavericks. While the Crusaders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Peyton Bray made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Owen Bailey was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Manchester Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Manchester Academy beat Park Place Christian Academy by a score of 11-3 later that day.
