Soccer Recap: Arvin Comes Up Short

Arvin lost against Mira Monte back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Arvin Bears lost 4-0 to the Mira Monte Lions. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 827th, while the Lions are ranked 170th).

Arvin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-3 record this season. As for Mira Monte, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3-1.

Arvin will head out on the road to challenge North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Arvin is facing North at the right time seeing as North is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Mira Monte, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mira Monte will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
