Softball Recap: Rocky Mountain Takes a Loss

Rocky Mountain was the 8-6 winner over Nampa when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Rocky Mountain fell 4-1 to Nampa on Saturday.

Megan McCormick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Danica Quinn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

Rocky Mountain now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Nampa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Rocky Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Filer on the 22nd. As for Nampa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 win against Teton on the 22nd.
