Meridian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They claimed a resounding 66-15 win over the Manassas Park Cougars. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meridian had a senior duo take command as Nora Stufft went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points and seven rebounds and Ellie Friesen went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and five boards. Stufft is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games she's played. Charlotte Lieu was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Meridian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Meridian's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Manassas Park, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-38 defeat against Brentsville District on the 7th. As for Manassas Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-32 loss against Skyline on the 6th.
