Basketball Recap: Roxboro Community Comes Up Short

Roxboro Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 62-18 defeat at the hands of the Wake Prep Academy Guardians. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Loss or not, Roxboro Community got some senior leadership from Ben Wheeler and John Little. Wheeler posted six points and three steals, while Little earned five points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Little is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Roxboro Community's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wake Prep Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Roxboro Community is taking a road trip to square off against Franklin Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Wake Prep Academy, they will host Woods Charter at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
