Volleyball Recap: Monticello's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Monticello came into Saturday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Catholic Central Hilltoppers on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ponies also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

While Monticello won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Catholic Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Coming up, Monticello will venture away from home to take on Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Catholic Central, they will welcome Racine Horlick at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
