Baseball Game Preview: Mogadore Wildcats vs. LaBrae Vikings

The Mogadore Wildcats will square off against the LaBrae Vikings at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Mogadore fell victim to Chippewa and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Chipps. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, LaBrae beat Southeast 4-1 on Tuesday.

Austin Rowe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has become a key player for LaBrae: the team is 11-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Landon Brunstetter was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

LaBrae is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mogadore, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
