If South Caldwell was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of St. Stephens on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Alexander Central Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for South Caldwell in their meetings with Alexander Central: they've now lost five in a row.

South Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-4. As for Alexander Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4-2.
