Softball Recap: Western Indians vs. Northwest Mohawks
Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-1 to the Northwest Mohawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 23-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Western saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chelsey Ryan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that Ryan got this season.
Western's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Western will face off against South Gallia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northwest, they will take on South Webster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
