Recap: Gwynn Park Yellowjackets vs. Friendly Patriots

The Gwynn Park Yellowjackets put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Friendly at home to the tune of 64-31. Gwynn Park has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Friendly's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Harvey, who scored ten points. Khadir Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Gwynn Park's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Friendly, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Gwynn Park won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Friendship Tech Prep Academy at 3:20 p.m. on February 3rd. Friendship Tech Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Gwynn Park likes a good challenge. As for Friendly, they will head out on the road to challenge High Point at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Friendly is facing High Point at the right time seeing as High Point is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
