Football Recap: Richton Starts off Right with Win over West Lincoln

Richton had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the West Lincoln Bears 34-0. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rebels had established a 28-point advantage.

B.J. Brown had a dynamite game, rushing for 137 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while also catching one TD. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Brown was just one part of a punishing run game: Richton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.
