Preview: Trivium Prep Crimson Knights vs. Antelope Rams
The Trivium Prep Crimson Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Antelope Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trivium Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Antelope likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Trivium Prep blew past San Pasqual Valley, posting a 76-12 victory on the road.
Cruz Ramirez and Vern Wolfley were among the main playmakers for Trivium Prep as the former rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries and the latter rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Matthew Lee did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Antelope had to suffer through a rough 52-15 loss at the hands of Tonopah Valley. Antelope was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Trivium Prep's win bumped their season record to 2-7 while Antelope's loss dropped theirs to 5-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Trivium Prep has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 147.9 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Antelope, though, as they've been averaging only 76.2 per game. How will Antelope fare against such a dominant running game?
