Basketball Recap: White Station Falls Despite Big Games from Lily Pruitt and Amare Boothe

White Station was the 50-46 winner over Overton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The White Station Spartans took a hard 50-36 fall against the Overton Wolverines on Tuesday. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, White Station had strong showings from Amare Boothe, who posted 13 points and five boards, and Lily Pruitt, who scored five points and three steals.

Overton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kierra Baldwin, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 19 points and five steals. Baldwin has become a key player for Overton: the team is undefeated when she posts at least five steals, but 6-7 otherwise. Torri Jones was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

White Station's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Overton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

As of now, neither White Station nor Overton have any future games scheduled.
