The Oak Grove Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Jay M. Robinson Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oak Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 36-7 win over Northwest Cabarrus. Winning may never get old, but the Grizzlies sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Oak Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jyden Barnes led the charge by rushing for 107 yards on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Barnes has posted since back in October of 2024. Amir Dalton also helped out with an impressive 107 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Oak Grove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Jay M. Robinson on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew North Davidson out of the water with a 42-0 final score. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Black Knights are ranked 170th).
Oak Grove better keep an eye on Aury Greenfield. He was instrumental in Jay M. Robinson's win, throwing for 155 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes, while also rushing for 60 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Another rusher making a difference was Marece Miller, who rushed for 70 yards and one score on only seven carries.
Jay M. Robinson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cameron Tucker and Isaiah Woodburn. Woodburn is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Aiden Black was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making six total tackles.
Jay M. Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Oak Grove, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Oak Grove has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jay M. Robinson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 264.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
