Softball Recap: Guilford Takes a Loss

If Guilford was feeling good fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Hand on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies lost 19-8 to the Lyman Hall Trojans on Tuesday. Grizzlies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Trojans since Tuesday.

Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Lyman Hall, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Guilford will venture away from home to challenge Shelton at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lyman Hall, they will welcome Law at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lawmen's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
