Football Recap: Johnson City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Johnson City lost against Windsor Central back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats received a blow as they fell 34-20 to the Black Knights. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Black Knights are ranked 115th).

When it comes to explaining why Johnson City lost, don't look at Fenesse Morales. Despite the final result, he rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 119 receiving yards and one TD.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnson City and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Windsor Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Johnson City will head out to square off against Norwich at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Windsor Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Owego Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The River Hawks' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Black Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
