Softball Recap: Daingerfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chapel Hill last Tuesday, Daingerfield came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Harmony Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in March.

Kaidence Mason made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double. Those triples marked the first that she hit this season. Rachael Walker was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Daingerfield dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Harmony, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Daingerfield will face off against rival Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harmony is set to square off against their familiar foe Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
