There's no place like home for Eaton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oakwood Lumberjacks on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lumberjacks back in August, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Eaton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Oakwood between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-18.

Shandon Garrett paced Eaton's offense, picking up 23 kills. Garrett got some help from Kenzie Wilson and her 34 assists. Ella Statzer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Eaton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Oakwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Eaton will venture away from home to take on Waynesville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Dayton Christian on the 20th.
