Taylor Hays Turns in Season-Best Performance
Taylor Hays produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Basalt to the win on Friday. Hays picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 71 yards.
The win for Basalt keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Hays and Basalt will head out on the road to square off against Middle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Moffat County might've come up empty on Friday, Zachary Hedman wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Hedman as he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Grayson Isenhart Turns in Another Game with at Least 13 Total Tackles
Grayson Isenhart continued his hot streak on Saturday by dropping his 16th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 13 total tackles. He picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (1.5 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
If history really does repeat itself, Isenhart might just drop another big game when he faces off against Aspen on Friday. Isenhart forced a fumble and made 20 total tackles (2.0 for loss) the last time he and the Skiers duked it out back in September of 2023.
