Softball Recap: Auburndale Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Auburndale can now relate to. They lost 16-6 to the Sebring Blue Streaks on Thursday. The Bloodhounds haven't had much luck with the Blue Streaks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Alyssa Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Gabriella Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Sebring, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

As of now, neither Auburndale nor the Blue Streaks have any future games scheduled.
