Recap: Leroy Bears vs. Fruitdale Pirates
The Leroy Bears can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 51-16 win over Fruitdale on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-3.
Chauncey Dixon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Marley Dixon, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Leroy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Fruitdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Leroy will head out on the road to face off against Washington County at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Washington County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for Fruitdale, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McIntosh at 5:00 p.m. McIntosh is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
