Baseball Game Preview: Royal Oak Ravens vs. Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks

The Royal Oak Ravens are taking a road trip to challenge the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Royal Oak has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Bloomfield Hills will arrive with six straight victories.

Royal Oak lost 9-1 to West Bloomfield on Tuesday.

Royal Oak saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Silas Burbridge, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield Hills owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Roosevelt.

Hunter F tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Bloomfield Hills pushed their record up to 19-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Royal Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-16.
