Volleyball Recap: Sia Taufa and Ashlyn Stucky Secure Win for Laramie

Laramie had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Star Valley Braves with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Plainsmen in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won seven in a row.

Laramie was led to victory by Ashlyn Stucky and Sia Taufa. Stucky had seven digs and two aces, while Taufa had 12 digs and three assists. Stucky is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hallie Hokanson, who had eight digs and three aces.

Laramie's victory bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Star Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 20-17.

Laramie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Thunder Basin on the 8th. Star Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
