After a string of nine wins, Lexington Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 49-38 to the Frederick Douglass Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Broncos are ranked third).

Lexington Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Frederick Douglass, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.
