Basketball Game Preview: Kansas Comets vs. Westville Yellowjackets

Kansas and Westville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Kansas Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westville Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kansas is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Inola just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Longhorns.

Meanwhile, Westville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Colcord. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly two points.

Kansas' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Westville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Kansas strolled past Westville when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 50-34. Will Kansas repeat their success, or does Westville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
