League recap: Hannan dominating on the mound for Rising Sun

Ohio River Valley league recap: 6/5/13

Nathan Hannan was the best pitcher in Ohio River Valley this week, leading Rising Sun. Over the past week, he had two wins and 16 Ks.

The Shiners outpaced the rest of the league this week, as their four total wins led the league. Rising Sun beat Indianapolis Lutheran 4-1, the Saints 4-1, University 6-2 and Morristown 6-2.

The Shiners' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing nine hits and 15 walks to lead the league in both categories.

Three batters hit over .400 this week. The group was paced by David Huber, who collected eight hits in 12 at bats for a .667 average.

Hannan led the league with two wins this week for Rising Sun. He has tossed his way to 12 victories this year, putting him first in the league.



The Shiners' Miles Morris struck out ten the Yellow Jackets hitters en route to a 6-2 victory on June 3. He gave up five hits and two runs over seven innings of work.
