Volleyball Recap: Coral Gables Falls Short Against Ranked Columbus

Coral Gables faced Columbus in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Coral Gables fell just short of Columbus by a score of 2-1. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Explorers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Coral Gables' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Columbus, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coincidentally, Coral Gables and Columbus will both be playing Palmetto the next time they take the court. Columbus will head out to face Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Coral Gables will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
