Basketball Game Preview: Waupaca Comets vs. Clintonville Truckers

The Waupaca Comets will head out to square off against the Clintonville Truckers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Waupaca is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Marinette, falling 68-45. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Marines are ranked 140th).

Meanwhile, Clintonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 67-34 loss at the hands of Marinette.

Waupaca's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Clintonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Everything came up roses for Waupaca against Clintonville in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 74-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waupaca since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
