Baseball Recap: Andrews Comes Up Short

Andrews lost against Swain County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maroon Devils.

Kelby Waldroup made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Aiden Garrett also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Swain County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Swain County will challenge East Henderson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Andrews will be paying especially close attention to the Maroon Devils' contest: after the Maroon Devils faces off against the Eagles, they'll take on Andrews again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
