Baseball Recap: Madison La Follette Comes Up Short

Madison La Follette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Janesville Craig Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Madison La Follette saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Williams has brought in this season.

Madison La Follette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18-1. As for Janesville Craig, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Madison La Follette will head out to challenge Madison East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Janesville Craig, they will welcome Oconomowoc at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
