Coeur d'Alene faced Lake City in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Vikings blew past the Timberwolves 15-5. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Ellie Henderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbey Linder, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Coeur d'Alene was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .341 or higher in five consecutive games.

Coeur d'Alene's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lake City, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9-1.
