Soccer Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

Bayside lost against Kempsville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marlins lost 8-0 to the Chiefs. While losing is never fun, Bayside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Kempsville are ranked 32nd).

Bayside has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Kempsville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayside will challenge Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kempsville, they will welcome Northampton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
