Baseball Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short

Wheeler's last matchup with Ledyard could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. The Lions came up short against the Colonels, falling 13-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Wheeler has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Ledyard, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheeler will venture away from home to square off against East Haven at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ledyard, they will head out to challenge Hamden at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
