Basketball Recap: Cambridge Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against First Baptist

Cambridge Christian kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the First Baptist Crusaders, falling 77-31. The loss continues a trend for Cambridge Christian in their meetings with First Baptist: they've now lost five in a row.

First Baptist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Lindsay, who went 9-for-12 to rack up 21 points and six assists. What's more, Lindsay also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Torgee Ketterling, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

First Baptist's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Cambridge Christian and First Baptist will both be playing Prior Lake Christian the next time they take the court. Cambridge Christian will host Prior Lake Christian at 6:45 p.m. on January 13, 2026, while First Baptist will host them at 6:45 p.m. on January 30, 2026.
