Soccer Recap: Ottumwa Comes Up Short

After flying high against Des Moines East last Tuesday, Ottumwa came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Roosevelt Roughriders on Friday, falling 9-1. Ottumwa haven't had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ottumwa now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Roosevelt, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Ottumwa wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Chariton on the 14th. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Madrid on the 12th.
