Basketball Recap: Heritage Home Scholars Lady Eagles/Warriors vs. Independent Athletic Ministries Ravens
Heritage Home Scholars couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Independent Athletic Ministries Ravens 59-31 on Saturday. The Lady Eagles/Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ravens apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Heritage Home Scholars lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Toby Phillback, who posted six points.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Home Scholars will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while.
